On arrival at Delhi airport, and completion with immigration, custom clearance and luggage collection please proceed to the exit to look for our representative in the arrival area - who will be holding a placard with your name and will help transfer you to the hotel (check in time at the hotel is 1400 hrs) . Delhi is India's bustling capital city. At the hotel, you will be greeted with a traditional Indian welcome and escorted to your room. New Delhi reflects the legacy the British left behind. The division between New and Old Delhi is the segregation between the capitals of the British and the Mughals respectively. The next morning, post breakfast, you will be met by our representative at your hotel lobby and will be transferred to the Delhi airport to board your flight for Amritsar. Upon arrival at Amritsar you will be assisted by our representative and will be taken to your Hotel. Later that afternoon proceed for an excursion to Wagah Border (30 Kms/ approx 01 hour away). It is the only authorized border crossing between India & Pakistan as well as an army protection outpost for the border. Buses with special travel permits crossover weekly at this border between neighboring countries carrying passengers with valid visas. After breakfast proceed to visit the Golden Temple, laid by Guru Ram Das in the 14th century. It is acclaimed as one of the holiest sites of the Sikhs. It has four doorways and gorgeously decorated arches. Reflecting influences of both Hindu and Muslim styles of architecture, the temple stands in the middle of a tank, and exudes tremendous architectural brilliance which draws the attention of numerous tourists from around the globe. After breakfast, embark on a day tour of McLeod Ganj, often called the 'Little Lhasa'. Located at an altitude of 1770 meters, this is the official residence of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Visit the Tibet Museum - a collection of Tibetan culture, traditions and their fight for freedom from Chinese oppression. Also visit Tibetan Colonies, where refugees from Tibet came from their homeland after China occupied Tibet in the year 1949 A.D. Visit the St. John's Wilderness Church - situated in the forest between McLeod Ganj and Forsyth Ganj, the building has lovely spotted glass windows. There is a cemetery on the premises housing the grave of Lord Elgin who wished to be buried here. There is a beautiful War Memorial at the entrance to this hill town, raised to commemorate the post independence war heroes of Himachal Pradesh. Also visit Kangra Art Museum (if time permits). After breakfast, check-out and drive to Manali. Enroute visit the Shiva Temple at Baijnath. Later continue your drive to Manali. Arrive and check in at the hotel. Stay Overnight at the Hotel.

After breakfast proceed to visit Naggar, a lovely hill village surrounded by forests, which was the capital of Kullu in the 16th century. The monuments in the region are witness to its glorious past. The Naggar Castle, a stone & wood structure built by Raja Sidh Singh over 500 years ago, has been converted in to a heritage hotel. The gracefully built castle also houses a small museum. The paintings and Photographs of the late Nicholas Roerich are exhibited in the Nicholas Roerich Gallery. Return to the hotel. In the afternoon proceed to visit the Hadimba Devi Temple. This four storied wooden temple is located in the middle of a forest called the Dhungiri Van Vihar. Visit the Manu Temple, dedicated to the sage Manu. There is also Vashisht - located at the outskirts of the city, which is renowned for its hot sulphur springs. There are old temples dedicated to Sage Vashisht & Lord Rama here. After breakfast, drive to Shimla en-route stopping at Mandi / Surendranagar. Continue your drive to Shimla & on arrival check-in at the hotel. Stay Overnight at the Hotel.

After breakfast proceed for a tour of Shimla visiting the Jakhoo temple, an ancient "Lord Hanuman" temple. Thereafter visit the St. Michael’s Cathedral, regarded as the second oldest church in North India. It is known for its fine stained glass windows. The Ridge Road, a large open space in the heart of town presents an excellent view of the nearby mountain ranges. Shimla's landmarks - the Neo-Gothic structure of Christ Church and the new Tudor library building are worth seeing too. The State Museum, houses Ancient Historical Sculptors and paintings of Himachal Pradesh. One may also visit the Viceroy Lodge, the most imposing edifice of Shimla located on Observatory Hill. This evening enjoy a visit for a stroll along The Mall - main shopping centre of Shimla with many restaurants & outlets. The Gaiety Theatre, which is a reproduction of an old British Theatre is a center for cultural activities. A passenger lift connects Cart Road to the Mall. Stay Overnight at the Hotel.

After breakfast you will be driven to Chandigarh. Arrive and check in the hotel. In the afternoon proceed for a tour of Chandigarh visiting The Rock Gardens, which is a one of its kind, and is put up with urban and industrial waste. It displays various sculptures made up of broken ken glass bangles, china ware, discarded fluorescent tubes, clay and coal, walls of terracotta pots and has a maze of paths, canyons and chambers which offer a glance of a dream world. With fantastic 14 chambers with a waterfall, puddles, statues of animals, and birds this garden helps one to stretch ones imagination. Drive past The Capitol - the architectural grandeur of the planned city of Chandigarh. The Capitol complex houses the three main organs of administration, namely the Legislative Assembly, the Secretariat, and the High Court. It is the headquarters of both the Punjab and the Haryana governments. Later visit the Pinjore Gardens. Post the tour return to the hotel. Stay Overnight at the Hotel.

After breakfast you will be driven to Rishikesh. Arrive and check in at the hotel. Rishikesh, the abode of Saints and Sages, a tranquil retreat surrounded on three sides by ranges of the Himalayas. For thousands of years, sadhus (hermits) have meditated and performed penance here, staying at the numerous ashrams (hermitages) that dot the town along the Holy River Ganges. After breakfast proceed for a tour of Rishikesh visiting the Ram Jhula Area: Geeta Bhawan, one of the oldest temple complexes in the area. The famous Indian epic Ramayana and Mahabharata are described here on the walls. Visit Parmarth Niketan Transcendental Centre of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, where you'll be introduced to one of the gurus / Yogis who will try to explain, the spiritual lifestyle of the disciples, residents of the Ashram, which itself is quite interesting. Also visit the famous Lakshman Jhula, a suspension bridge built over the River Ganges, which is a major tourist attraction of this town. There after visit The Triveni Ghat – the main bathing ghat owes its name to the fact that it is built on the confluence of the three legendary rivers, Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. In the afternoon you will drive to Haridwar to attend the evening Aarti Ceremony, with an atmosphere charged with devotional songs, prayers, rituals and a great sense of divinity all over. After breakfast you will be driven to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi you will be met by our representative and transferred to the airport to board your flight for your onward destination.
